Many people spend lots of time on the beach. There’s no doubt that when summer comes, they would like something to keep them engaged. I mean, the breeze, sunlight, and all the fun stuff might not be enough to brighten up your day. Having a book or two by your side can make your day. Some books are just right and can be read on the beach. These books are designed to match, and of course, you can travel in thought, and don’t worry, you’ll be fine.

There are many reasons why you should carry a book with you to a beach. Not only will it help you to pass time, but it can also put a smile on your face. I mean, you are getting a sunburn, why don’t you smile at the same time? Below are a selected number of books that can do the job:

1. Malibu Rising

Taylor Jenkins Reid’s book was published in 2021, and it quickly became a new york times bestseller. Reid is an American writer known for her novels. Reid started writing part-time while working at a high school until she got a book deal. Her first novel, Forever, Interrupted, was published in 2013. She’s written lots of novels which are selling very well today. 

2. One Last Stop

This book by Casey McQuiston was published in 2021. Her Genre is romance, and she’s good at it. She became an active writer in 2019. Casey McQuiston grew up in the swamps of Southern Louisiana, where she cultivated an abiding love for honey butter biscuits and stories with big, beating hearts. She studied journalism and worked in magazine publishing for years before returning to her first love: fiction.

3. The Other Black Girl

This novel is Zakiya Dalila Harris’ debut novel. It went on to become a bestseller: a new york times bestseller. Zakiya Dalila Harris spent nearly three years in editorial at Knopf/Doubleday before leaving to write her debut novel, The Other Black Girl. Before working in publishing, Zakiya received her MFA in creative writing from The New School. Her essays and book reviews have appeared in Cosmopolitan, Guernica, and The Rumpus. She lives in Brooklyn.

4. Objects of Desire

This Sestanovich novel was named the most anticipated book of 2021 by Lit Hub and The Millions. This was her debut novel. In it, she takes seriously the quiet unrest that can ravage a life. Clare Sestanovich is an editor at The New Yorker. Her fiction has appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Harper's, and Electric Lit.

5. The Startup Wife

Tahmima Anam is an award-winning author. Tahmima Anam is a British-Bangladeshi writer, novelist, and columnist. Anam was born on 8 October 1975 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, four years after the country’s independence. Tahmima Anam’s first novel, A Golden Age, published in 2007, told the story of the widow Rehana Haque and her two teenage children as they become involved in Bangladesh’s struggle for independence. There’s no doubt you’ll love this novel, the startup wife.
